Thierry Burkle
Thierry Burkle received a Masters Degree in Business and Economics/Tax Law and Accounting in Paris, France and started his education in the culinary world under Michel Laudier once of the famed Plaza Athenees in Paris. Since that time, he worked at the Rive Gauche in the Washington, D.C. area that was internationally known and recognized and a restaurant frequented by political and entertainment celebrities. From there, he became Executive Chef and part owner of Place Vendome in Washington that was recognized as one of the 50 Best Restaurants by both The Washingtonian and Esquire. Since arriving in San Antonio, he is the Executive Chef and owner of L'Etoile and has added The Grill at Leon Springs to his list of accomplishments. L'Etoile, open since 1984, is recognized as one of the best in San Antonio and specializes in progressive French Cuisine and seafood. Chef Thierry is a member of the Master Chef Association and enjoys supporting charitable causes in the community.
