Titans of Tailgate is back for 2026 — and it’s bigger, bolder, and more meaningful than ever.

Football season and foodie season collide once again as our Titans of Tailgate event returns on Sunday, February 1, bringing high-energy tailgate vibes, chef-driven creativity, and a powerful mission to the forefront. Set against the expansive backdrop of The Rock at La Cantera, this fan-favorite event will welcome more than 30 of San Antonio’s top chefs for an afternoon packed with bold, game day-inspired bites, sips, and spirited competition—all in support of local high school culinary programs.

At its core, Titans of Tailgate is a celebration of community. Each participating chef will craft one signature tailgate dish—playful, indulgent, or totally unexpected—vying for bragging rights and the crowd’s vote as the true “Titan.” Guests can expect tastings, cocktails, wine, Texas beer, entertainment, and interactive experiences throughout the afternoon, all fueled by the electric energy that has made this event one of Culinaria’s most anticipated annual gatherings.

But the impact goes far beyond the plate. 

Titans of Tailgate came to fruition to support San Antonio high school culinary programs through a monetary donation, helping provide students with essential tools, mentorship, and real-world experiences. Many local schools’ own culinary teams participate in the event, showcasing their talent and holding their own alongside seasoned professionals.

As Culinaria President & CEO Suzanne Taranto-Etheredge puts it, “This event is fun, flavorful, and deeply meaningful—every bite helps support the students working hard to become the culinary leaders of tomorrow.”
